iPad Launch Live Stream: How to watch the Apple event

The iPad launch event is scheduled for tonight, October 16 at 6pm BST and you’ll be able to watch it as it happens via live stream.

If you’re eager to watch the iPad launch live, you’ll need to make sure you’re rocking some Apple wares first.

To watch the live stream you’ll need to head over to Apple’s dedicated web page and on a Mac running Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X 10.6.8 or later.

You can also join in on a small screen, although you’ll need to be viewing via Safari on iOS 6.0 or later.

If you’ve not got OS X or iOS, there’s also the option of Apple TV running 6.2 or later. The channel for today’s event should be available right now, although it’s not much good until 6pm tonight.

Unfortunately if you’re not running any Apple hardware then you’re out of luck. It’s worth sticking around on the web though, as there’ll likely be a raft of opportunists re-streaming the event live for Windows users et al.

There will also be full coverage of the event courtesy of the TrustedReviews team, with our diligent journo squad set to bring you the latest Apple news as soon as it hits the web.

Tonight’s launch event is expected to show off a smorgasbord of tech from the fruity firm, with likely candidates including an iPad Air 2, an iPad Mini 3, updates to the Mac range, and a release date for OS X Yosemite.

There’s also talk of a sized-up iPad Pro which could tout a massive 12.9-inch display, although Apple’s keeping hush about its approaching tech fare as usual.
