Black Samsung Galaxy Note 4 sells out ahead of UK release

With the Galaxy Note 4 UK release date set to be held this Friday, October 17, Samsung has already listed the black rendition of the handset as ‘sold out’.

Having been available for pre-order for a number of weeks, early interest in the 5.7-inch smartphone appears to have drained day one stocks.

On the official Samsung UK retail site, the black Note 4 is currently listed as sold out while the white and gold handset options remain available for order.

Although in-house stocks have disappeared, Samsung is pointing wannabe Note 4 owners to third-party retailers such as Carphone Warehouse, EE and Three in order to snap up the device.

Despite the Note 4 price having been set at a premium £629, it does not appear this lofty fee is perturbing phablet fans.

Unveiled during IFA 2014 last month, the Note 4 is Samsung’s latest oversized, stylus-packing handset.

Running a 5.7-inch QHD display with a stunning 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, the Note 4’s specs sheet is further enhanced by a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM.

With a 16-megapixel OIS camera on the rear, the phone’s features list is rounded off by Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat OS topped with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI and a new metal edged design.

Samsung is not alone in its stock woes either, the iPhone 6 has been hit by availability restraints since launch.

Many configurations of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are still listed online alongside 3-4 week dispatch times.

We have contacted Samsung for comment on when it expects additional black Galaxy Note 4. We will update this post with their response as soon as we have it.
