ZTE Open C and Grand Memo 2 LTE to launch at MWC

ZTE has confirmed that it will launch the ZTE Open C and ZTE Grand Memo 2 LTE at MWC 2014 next week.

The ZTE Open C will be a brand new Firefox smartphone running Firefox OS 1.3 on a 6-inch screen, while the Grand Memo 2 LTE will be an Android device with a 6-inch screen.

“This year, we are looking to work even more closely with our customers worldwide to develop the products they want and deliver a superior customer experience,” said Adam Zeng, CEO of ZTE Mobile Devices and Executive Vice President of ZTE. “They have told us that they want ever more innovative and high-performance products, so at MWC 2014 we are delivering this with the launch of two new high-profile devices, the ultra slim Grand Memo 2 LTE with 6-inch screen and the ZTE Open C in partnership with Mozilla and Telefonica.”

The Chinese electronics company will also be showing off its brand new user interface, MiFavour 2.3 on the Grand Memo 2 LTE. It is said to “provide a superior experience for ZTE mobile users”.

“We expect 2014 to be our strongest year yet – and we’re putting our customers at the heart of everything we do to help us achieve that.”

ZTE has yet to confirm any other specs for its duo of new smartphones, but with MWC just a week away, we won’t have long to wait.

Also on show at CES 2014 will be the ZTE Projector Hotspot, which is a combined Wi-Fi hotspot and mini projector, as well as the ZTE Grand Watch smartwatch.

ZTE’s MWC press conference is on February 24 at 10.30, and TrustedReviews will be on hand to bring you all the latest news.
