Gold HTC One 2 teased by leaked picture

Newly leaked HTC One 2 pictures have surfaced, with the upcoming flagship phone and Samsung Galaxy S5 rival shown with a new, gold body.

The official looking shots, which appear to be prematurely unveiled press renders, show the repeatedly leaked HTC One 2 with a golden finish.

Although a gold HTC One was eventually introduced alongside additional red and blue options, the latest leak has hinted that a gold HTC One 2 will be available from launch.

Surfacing via serial Twitter-based tipster @evleaks, the latest HTC One 2 pictures have been accompanied by the simple message “The All New One.”

Earlier today reports claimed that the inbound HTC One 2 will actually be dubbed The All New One, although a simple rebranding as a second-generation HTC One is more likely.

All but confirming previous reports, the latest leaked HTC One 2 picture has shown the handset with the heavily rumoured second camera sensor on its rear.

Further HTC One 2 reports further teased by the images include the removal of physical, soft-touch Android controls in favour of digital, on-screen options and a slightly reworked Sense UI.

According to recent reports, the HTC One 2 specs sheet will see a 5-inch, 1080p Full HD line up alongside a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and Google’s latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

Yesterday HTC offered heavy hints that the HTC One 2 release date will be held on March 25. Avoiding an MWC 2014 announcement, the Taiwanese manufacturer has issued formal invites to a dedicated late March unveiling.
