Huawei Talkband M1 unveiled with wireless call support

Huawei has unveiled the Huawei Talkband M1 at MWC 2014, complete with wireless call support.

As shown in a previous leak by a company official, the TalkBand M1 features a 1.4-megapixel flexible OLED display encased within a chunky yet colourful wristband.

However, hidden with the rather sizeable 14.6mm wristband is support for wireless calling, including a pop-out Bluetooth 4.1 wireless earpiece for taking calls.

We’re not sure whether this will also let you listen to music or other audio content, but there’s no mention of how much internal storage is offered at present so perhaps not.

The TalkBand B1 features NFC connectivity and syncs with compatible devices running at least Android 2.3 or iOS 5.

To compete with existing health bands out there, the TalkBand M1 is also equipped with fitness features. The wristband collects fitness data like your activity time, fitness progress, steps you’ve taken and the calories you’ve burnt.

Apparently it’s also capable of monitoring how restless your sleep was and how long you slept for.

There’s also a smart alarm and nap functionality to give you a little alarm clock on your wrist.

Huawei claims the TalkBand M1 has an average six days battery life or up to 7 hours of call time on a single charge. Plus, it can complete a full charge in under two hours.
