Google has finally released an iPad version of its streaming music service, Google Play Music.
An iPhone-only version of the app arrived in late 2013, already a good two years after its initial launch on Android. It's taken over a year for Google to flesh that iPhone version out into a properly optimised iPad version - or at least, to get around to releasing it.
Fortunately, though, it's a good one. While you can't sign up for the service from the app, you can access a full range of features once you have signed up elsewhere.
The main feature is the ability to stream unlimited music, Spotify-style. There's also the ability to save tracks for offline playing.
One of Google Play Music's key distinguishing features is the ability to upload up to 20,000 of your own songs to the cloud, then stream them back to any device as if they were part of the full service.
Another unique part of Google Play Music is the access it grants you to the new(ish) YouTube Music Key, which provides a more structured music video streaming service.

This new version of the Google Play Music app also brings Google's full Material Design UI to iPad and iPhone. This can particularly be seen in action in the app's newly crafted artist pages, which provide descriptions and key album art in a beautiful Android 5.0 Lollipop style.
Google Play Music is available to download now on iPad and iPhone. A Google Play Music subscription costs £9.99 per month.
