The Nexus 6 has launched in the UK, and now giffgaff has become the latest network provider to offer the Android Lollipop loving device.
With the 6-inch handset having been released through O2 earlier today, December 4, giffgaff has now confirmed it will offer the iPhone 6 rival on both SIM-free and pay monthly contract deals.
Like O2, giffgaff’s Nexus 6 offerings are currently restricted to the 32GB midnight blue handset. There is currently no word on when either the 64GB capacity options or the white handset will make it to market.
For those eager to splash out on the Android 5.0 introducing device, the Nexus 6 can be snapped up SIM-free for ‘just’£499 through the retailer. This fee, although cheaper than either the rival iPhone 6 or Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is considerably more expensive than past Nexus offerings.
If your wallet can’t handle that upfront fee, giffgaff is also stocking the Nexus 6 on a selection of 24 month contracts.
For £37.85 per month – based on a 24 month deal – the Nexus 6 can be paired with 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 3GB of 4G data.
Those snapping up the handset will also be rewarded with a mysterious goody bag worth £10.
“{pullquote}We are delighted to be offering even more choice for our members with the launch of the new Nexus 6{pullquote},” giffgaff CEO Mike Fairman stated.
He added: “Our great value goodybags are the perfect partner to ensure you can make the most out of your new Nexus 6 without the restriction of a contract.”
The Nexus 6 features a 6-inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD display alongside a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel, OIS-enhanced camera.
