Assassin's Creed Victory

The location of the next Assassin's Creed game has been leaked online, ahead of any official information from Ubisoft.

According to an internal leak, the next Assassin's Creed game will be set in Victorian London and might even have Jack the Ripper making an appearance.

The internal documents were sent to Kotaku and confirmed that the long-awaited and fan-requested Victorian London has been chosen for the upcoming game.

Expected to be released during the 2015 holiday season, the game is in development at Ubisoft's Quebec studios, rather than the usual Montreal studios. This is the first time Ubisoft Quebec has handled an Assassin's Creed game.

Ubisoft Quebec has worked on Assassin's Creed DLC before though, including The Tyranny of King Washington for Assassin's Creed 3 and Freedom Cry for Assassin's Creed 4.

What's more, it looks like the next game is called, or at least code-named, Assassin's Creed Victory.

Ubisoft has released the following statement about the leak:

"It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we're disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public. The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we're excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin's Creed Unity for players."

From the information received, it also looks like Assassin's Creed Victory will be build on the Anvil engine used for the absolutely stunning Assassin's Creed Unity.
