Bose and Apple reach a truce?

Bose headphones and speakers could be on their way back to the Apple Store, with reports claiming a feud between the two companies has cooled.

iGen brings word that Apple Stores have been receiving shipments of Bose products ahead of a return to the shelves next week.

The German audio manufacturer’s gear was dumped from Apple’s retail outlets earlier this year over a fallout with Apple-owned Beats Audio.

Soon after the Apple takeover, Bose filed a lawsuit against Beats claiming patent infringement over the use of noise cancelling technology.

Around that time, the two companies were embroiled in a sponsorship row over Bose’s sponsorship of the NFL.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick was fined a whopping $10,000 by the National Football League for wearing Beats headphones during a post-game press conference.

The beef reportedly increased tensions between the two companies and the decision to quit selling Bose gear was made shortly afterwards.

Returning Bose items to the Apple Store would be interesting given the firm is one of Apple’s main competitors in the headphones space.

Bose isn’t the only company to be snubbed by Apple in recent months. FitBit also saw its range canned by Apple after refusing to support the company’s HealthKit platform.
