The HTC One M8 Plus has been teased once again, with latest reports suggesting the handset will feature a QHD display.
Echoing the visual abilities of the recently confirmed LG G3 , the currently unconfirmed HTC One M8 Plus will reportedly build on the One M8’s premium brushed metal design with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution display of its own.
Citing unnamed “sources familiar with HTC’s plans,” 9to5Google has hinted that the HTC One M8 Plus will be a true powerhouse of the smartphone space, pairing its QHD panel with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM.
What’s more, despite feature a display smaller than the 5.5-inch unit found on the rival G3, the M8 Plus will reportedly run the same dual-lens snapper as the flagship M8. The HTC One Mini 2 launched earlier this month with a more traditional single lens camera.
Although HTC has yet to offer any formal indication as to the existence of such a device, the anonymous sources have suggested the handset will be unveiled around late August or early September.
The HTC One M8 Plus will not be on its own either, with a plastic bodied HTC One M8 Advance also tipped for launch.
According to the latest leaks, the ‘Advance’ will be a more accessible HTC handset that packs all the same specs as the HTC One M8 Plus, just within a cheaper, plastic body.
It is currently unclear if the two devices will be available in the same markets simultaneously or target different territories.
