Samsung Galaxy S5 unboxing video released by T-Mobile US

The first Samsung Galaxy S5 unboxing video has been released by T-Mobile US on YouTube.

Ahead of the official Samsung Galaxy S5 release date, T-Mobile US has released an unboxing video.

The US Samsung Galaxy S5 pre-order pages opened last Friday, March 20, and now the first unboxing videos are starting to hit the internet.

T-Mobile’s video hardly offers us any new information about the 2014 flagship, which was formally announced last month, but does show what you can expect to receive in the box.

According to the video, you’ll get the Galaxy S5 itself, the welcome start guide, a warranty, charging cable and charger as well as the battery.

The video shows that you’ll need to insert the battery and then make sure to properly seal the rear panel on the device, as otherwise you’ll risk small gaps where water could seep in.

Samsung has introduced an IP67 water- and dust-resistant quality with the Galaxy S5, which means it is completely dust-proof and can be submerged under water for up to 30 minutes in depths of 1 metre maximum.

In the UK, Samsung Galaxy S5 pre-orders begin on Friday, March 28 from a variety of retailers and the Samsung e-store itself.

If you want a Galaxy S5 come the release date on April 11, you’ll need to make sure to pre-order from one of those outlets.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with a 5.01-inch full 1080p HD screen powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM.

You can opt for 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, but both models come with microSD card support up to 64GB.

In the back there is a 16-megapixel camera with a speedy 0.3-second auto focusing time and a secondary 2-megapixel camera in the front. There’s also a heart rate monitor in-built next to the camera’s flash.

The Galaxy S5 also features a fingerprint sensor built into the home button, similar to that offered by the iPhone 5S.
