Motorola’s return to the smartphone scene could see the eagerly awaited, heavily leaked Motorola Moto X go on sale this week, latest reports have suggested.
Despite having been prematurely outed on a number of occasions, the Motorola Moto X is not to be formally unveiled until a dedicated New York based launch event this Thursday, August 1, with reports now claiming the phone could be in stores the next day.
Citing ‘unverified sources’ Taylor Wimberly, founder of Android and Me has reported that the Motorola Moto X could go on sale as early as Friday, August 2, with the US expected to get their mitts on the phone before it makes its way to UK shores in the following weeks.
Although Motorola has as yet failed to confirm when its next flagship phone will go on sale, it has offered multiple glimpses of what the device will look like. Invites sent out to the Moto X unveiling featured an image of a group of girl all holding the soon to be official phone.
One of the worst kept secrets in all of tech land, the Motorola Moto X has leaked on a number of occasions, with many of the phone’s specs having already been outed.
According to recent reports, the Google owner American manufacturer will unveil a handset with a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Building on this strong foundation with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, it has been claimed the phone will also feature a 4.5-inch display with a 1280 x 720p HD resolution.
Said to pack a 10.5-megapixel rear-mounted camera, the Motorola Moto X specs sheet is expected to be rounded off by a 2.1-megapixel forward-facing snapper, integrated NFC connectivity option and a 2200mAh Lithium-Ion battery.
