Samsung S Circle healthband leaked as yet another fitness tracker

The Samsung S Circle has been spotted in an FCC listing and could be another fitness tracker from Samsung.

It seems Samsung has more fitness bands up its sleeve as a device known as the S Circle has just passed through the FCC.

The device has already been spotted at the Bluetooth SIG, suggesting the device could be launched imminently.

According to the FCC filing, the device is classed as an activity tracker and comes equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 LE.

This may well mean the S Circle is in the same class as the Samsung S Band see above, or the Heart Rate Monitor Band originally launched with the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Possibly the S Circle will combine a heart rate monitor and fitness tracking functions into a smartband with a more affordable price tag than the new Samsung Gear Fit with its curved OLED display.

It may well be the second generation S Band, but we’ll have to wait until an official announcement is made before we know all the details.

Samsung’s latest fitness tracker, the Gear Fit, could be quite popular with sports enthusiasts.

It comes with an in-built heart rate monitor and presents your fitness data and smartwatch notifications on a curved OLED display.

Although it runs Tizen OS rather than Android, the device will be compatible with third-party apps from the off.

According to some leaked prices, Samsung could launch the Gear Fit for around £165, which is considerably higher than the cost of rival fitness trackers like the Misfit Shine or Nike Fuelband SE.
