The iPhone 6 camera specs have been leaked again, suggesting it will come with the same 8-megapixel resolution.
According to some fresh information from an insider on Chinese social network, Weibo, the iPhone 6 will have an 8-megapixel camera with a bigger sensor.
It seems the iPhone 6 will have an 8-megapixel camera with a 1/2.6-inch sensor rather than the 1/3-inch sensor of the iPhone 5S.
Apple will also supposedly introduce an aperture size of f/2.0 with the iPhone 6 rear camera, upgrading from the f/2.2 iPhone 5S and f/2.0 with the iPhone 5 .
The iPhone 6 will not only come with a bigger sensor, but it may even feature a CMOS sensor developed by Sony, with the other components manufactured by LG and Sharp.
There’s also rumours the iPhone 6 camera will be able to offer optical image stabilisation.
Despite several sources suggesting the iPhone 6 will be launched at Apple’s WWDC conference in June with iOS 8, a separate industry analyst indicated that Apple may wait until September to launch its 2014 flagship.
This would tie-in better with Apple’s release history of leaving a year between iPhone launches, especially as the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C were launched in September 2013.
Previous rumours suggest the iPhone 6 will launch with a screen size of 4.7-inches and could well feature quantum dot technology to increase the colour reproduction.
Of course, the iPhone 6 will feature a faster and more efficient Apple A8 processor and run the brand new health-centric iOS 8.
It may even launch alongside the heavily rumoured Apple iWatch smartwatch.
