Virtual reality is taking off, quite literally. Australian airline Qantas has announced it will kit out certain first-class lounges and flights with Samsung's Gear VR virtual reality headsets.
Talk about having your head in the clouds.
That means you'll be able to play amazingly immersive games or get lost in a film at 30,000 feet. Not only should it be a boon for tech-heads, it will also help people scared of flying to forget they're in a plane.
But it's not all about in-flight entertainment. It will also let you preview your destination.
The first virtual tour will be of Kakadu National Park, Australia's largest terrestrial national park. It will be made with the help of Tourism NT.
"This innovation literally adds a new dimension to how visitors experience Kakadu," Adam Giles, the Northern Territory's chief minister and minister for tourism, said in a statement.
"Tourism NT is delighted to pilot this new technology as part of its suite of marketing projects utilising new, industry-leading technology, and what better way to demonstrate the impact this VR technology can have than by showcasing Kakadu, one of the world's most iconic 'must do' destinations."

Qantas will trial the tech for three months and assess customer feedback. The headsets will be in Sydney and Melbourne lounges from mid-February, and in first class on select A380 flights between Australia and Los Angeles from mid-March.
