The S5 has been caught on camera
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom has been caught on camera, with leaked images of the snap-happy handset emerging less than a week ahead of the phone’s expected unveiling.
With latest reports claiming the Samsung Galaxy S5 spinoff will be officially announced next Tuesday, April 29, the newly leaked S5 pictures have suggested the phone will sport a slimmer form factor than its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.
Despite its more refined form factor, a form that has retained the flagship S5’s dimpled back panel, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom has been shown with an integrated 10x optical zoom.
Further aiding the phone’s expected 20-megapixel photographic capabilities, the leaked S5 Zoom images have pointed to the handset running a sizeable inbuilt Xenon flash and a dedicated shutter button.
According to recent leaks the Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom, which is also doing the rounds under the moniker of the Samsung Galaxy K, will feature a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a 720p HD resolution, down on the S5’s 5.1-inch Full HD offering.
Further Samsung Galaxy S5 specs to have done the rounds in recent weeks include a secondary, 2-megapixel camera up front, 2GB of RAM and a hexa-core Samsung Exynos 5 5260 processor.
