The Huawei Ascend P7 specs have been leaked within new AnTuTu benchmarks ahead of its expected launch next month.
From the looks of the AnTuTu scores it looks like the Huawei 2014 flagship will fall far behind the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and even the new OnePlus One.
Previous rumours put the Huawei Ascend P7 screen size at 5-inches and now we know it will have a resolution of 1080 x 1920p full HD.
It will run on a quad-core HiSilicon Kirin 910 processor with 2GB of RAM and apparently 16GB of internal storage, although the latter detail isn’t included with the AnTuTu benchmarks. Previously leaked specs put the clock speed for the processor at 1.6GHz.
If these benchmarks are from the near final Ascend P7 model, we should expect performance to rival the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, which is found in last year’s flagship phones like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and original HTC One.
The Huawei Ascend P7 is running the latest Android 4.2.2 KitKat too, which is reassuring.
Other specs for the device include a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. One of its selling points will be its ability to take the “best selfie videos”, thanks to an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper.
It is expected to pack a 2460mAh battery and offer 4G LTE connectivity as well as the standard Bluetooth 4.0 LE and Wi-Fi functionality.
Earlier leaks suggest the Ascend P7 will be made from “exquisite materials” and will most likely be as slim (if not slimmer than) the Huawei Ascend P6, which measures up at just 6.2mm thick to make it the world’s slimmest smartphone.
The Huawei Ascend P7 is tipped for a Parisian launch on May 7, with the phone going on sale shortly afterwards.
