Samsung Bendable TV lands as world’s first flexible television

The Samsung Bendable TV has been officially unveiled at CES 2014, landing as the world’s first flexible television.

Giving a brief demonstration of the innovative new TV during its CES 2014 press conference, Samsung has confirmed that the Samsung Bendable TV will be able to transform from a standard flatscreen uHD TV to a curved panel option within seconds.

Today we’re debuting a transformative new technology that we call bendable TV,” Joe Stinziano, an Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics America said in making the announcement.

He added: “With the press of one button this TV transforms into a curved UHD TV.”

Although the company has remained cagey on exact details and specifications, Samsung has revealed that its bendable TV can be manipulated to suit users’ changing needs, adapting to better suit specific content and viewing situations.

“Depending on how users are using their TV they can chose flatscreen or a curved screen,” Stinziano stated. “Its all about giving the customer control over how they view their content.”

There is currently no word on when the Samsung Bendable TV will make it to market or how much this new technology will set wannabe owners back.
