Apple's budget iPhone has leaked in a range of colours

New budget iPhone pictures have hit the web, with the leaked images of the cut-priced Apple handset’s casing further hinting the phone will be made available in a variety of colours.

Widely expected to be unveiled alongside the iPhone 5S later this year, the budget iPhone has been shown in a trio of colours, with the yellow, red and green options pictured expected to be just three of the “six to eight” colours rumoured for release.

While we suggest that these latest budget iPhone leaks are taken with a sizeable pinch of salt given their less than official origins, the green handset shown ties in with leaks over the weekend which showed a similarly coloured budget iPhone body snapped ahead of launch.

Featuring a slightly more rounded edged design than previous budget iPhone leaks, the latest images have once again pointed to the mid-market phone boasting a rear-mounted camera with an integrated LED flash and a microphone hole for improved audio on video recordings.

Unlike the current iPhone 5 which runs a brushed aluminium body, a feature which is expected to continue on the high-end iPhone 5S, the budget iPhone looks set to be bestowed with a cheaper plastic frame, more similar to that on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Budget iPhone Rumours

A device which would be expected to see Apple close the gap on the mass of mid-range Android handsets currently doing the rounds, latest budget iPhone rumours have all pointed to an early September unveiled followed by a release later the same month.

Expected to be one of the first device to land running the WWDC 2013 unveiled iOS 7, the budget iPhone has been rumoured to feature a 4-inch display identical in size to that of the iPhone 5.

Although it is not yet fully clear at what price point the phone will land, it has been suggested the budget iPhone will feature a slower CPU, reduced camera optics and a lower quality display than its flagship sibling in a bid to keep costs low.
