Sony Xperia Tablet Z Video Review

It’s fair to say that we quite liked the Sony Xperia Tablet Z when we reviewed it last week. Not only is it water resistant at one metre for up to 30 minutes (just like its little brother, the Sony Xperia Z phone) it also has a decent high resolution screen.

We love its ultra-thin design that makes it one of the lightest 10-inch tablets on the market. A zippy CPU and graphics processor means the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also easily deals with anything Android 4.1 Jelly Bean has to throw at it.

While the 1920x1200 pixel screen isn’t quite on par with Apple’s iPad 4 or Google Nexus 10 tablet, the Xperia Tablet Z does come equipped with a microSD slot, something its competitors don’t possess. This means that you can add extra storage on the cheap, rather than paying the premium manufacturers charge for having the storage on board.

Despite the fact that it’s only 7.2mm thin, the Tablet Z has some impressive stamina. It can last for up to 8 hours of web browsing on a full charge, and you can get amost 10 hours of video playback if you turn some of the power saving features on.

At £399.00 the Xperia Tablet Z is on the higher end of the price spectrum so it’s worth considering some of the alternatives on offer, but it is one of the best looking tablets on the market today.
