Samsung Galaxy Note 3 picture leaks

Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Is this the Samsung Galaxy Note 3?

A new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 picture has leaked online, supporting rumours that the device will pack a 5.99-inch screen.

Strongly tipped for an IFA launch in September, the latest picture of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 showcases a large-screen device with rounded corners.

This is rather different to the leaked picture that emerged earlier this month touting much squarer corners, but Samsung does have a tendency to masque its devices within dummy bodies to avoid such leaks.

The new image comes from Chinese Twitter user, @punkpanda, and show the device to have a design much more akin to the Samsung Galaxy S4 and previous Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

“6-inches, screen accounting for 84 per cent! I cannot tell you this is Galaxy Note 3 :)”, tweeted PunkPanda.

The upcoming Galaxy Note 2 upgrade introduces a very thin bezel, which according to the tweeter means the screen accounts for 84 per cent of the device’s surface area.

This could just be an up close and personal snap of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, but the front facing camera next to the speaker isn’t quite the same.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is tipped to feature a 5.99-inch display with full 1080p resolutions, powered by an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Recently leaked Samsung Galaxy Note 3 photo samples suggest the large smartphone will have a 13-megapixel snapper in the rear with the same f/2.2 aperture lens and 31mm focal length as the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Like the South Korean company’s flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean overlaid with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

We had predicted that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could make an appearance at tonight’s Samsung Galaxy and Ativ event, but latest rumours suggest we’ll be waiting until the Berlin-based IFA conference to see the device.
