CES 2015 is now just a matter of days a way and LG is already getting in the mood, detailing its upcoming line of 4K TVs.
With the Korean manufacturer having already announced plans to introduce its first Quantum Dot technology incorporating TVs at the Las Vegas-based show, LG has now offered up more details on the range of 4K panels set to make an appearance.
In an official statement, the company announced: “LG will be unveiling its expanded lineup of 4K Ultra HD TVs, with new designs, more features and picture quality enhancements, at the 2015 International CES in Las Vegas.”
While the introduction of new TVs at the year’s biggest tech show is hardly surprising, LG’s upcoming additions are already turning a few heads.
So, what are these new features? Well, according to the manufacturer, five of its new TV lines will benefit from multi-channel Ultra Surround System audio designed in partnership with Harman Kardon.
With In-Plane Switching to be an every present feature across the upcoming 4K LG lines, webOS 2.0 will also be present on the TV collection.
The reworked smart TV platform is said to be “even more user-friendly than its predecessor”, whilst boot times have been slashed by 60 per cent and customizable menu bars are also being introduced.
What’s more, with the company’s TVs set to be slimmer, lighter, more affordable and with improved 4K upscaling, it appears LG’s TVs will be ones to watch in 2015.
