Apple will host an event to introduce new iPad tablets, revamped Mac computers and the final version of the new Mac OS X software next month, if reports on Tuesday are to be believed.
According to Bloomberg, the firm has earmarked “mid-October” for the launch event, a claim seconded by Apple Insider . Neither site offered a specific date, but Dot Daily did, claiming the event will happen on October 21.
That assertion, perhaps an educated guess, seems reasonable given the firm held its last iPad launch event took place on October 22 in 2013.
At this year’s event, Apple is expected to launch an iPad Air 2 with the A8 processor, iOS 8 , and perhaps a refined design.
There has also been a re-emergence of rumours tipping a 12.9-inch ‘iPad Pro’ in recent weeks, while the firm might also refine its iPad mini line.
New Mac models are also expected to make their debut with 2014 iMacs, MacBook Airs and perhaps a new 12-inch super-slim MacBook available in iPhone colours.
One thing we’re also very likely to see alongside those new Macs is the completed version of the Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite which has been in beta preview since its launch at WWDC back in June.
The reports come on the day Apple released its iOS 8 software to the masses and two days prior to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 release date.
