Assassin’s Creed Unity map leaked

The Assassin’s Creed Unity map has been leaked online, giving us an idea about how large the game’s version of Paris will be.

Although this isn’t an official release of the Assassin’s Creed Unity map, we’re pretty sure it’s a pretty legitimate leak from as yet unreleased footage.

The map was leaked via Reddit, with the user claiming this is the map of Paris in-game and we’re impressed by its sheer size.

We’re not personally au fait with the map of 18th century French Revolution Paris, but the city is looking huge, with an intricate web of street interconnecting across the whole city.

“To give you an idea of size,” says Reddit user Skelaa. “Just look at the ‘Île de la Cité’ in the middle, all the streets, almost a little village.”

So far the majority of information suggested the Assassin’s Creed Unity map would be at least as big as the Frontier offered in Assassin’s Creed 3.

In fact, it could be approximately 50 times bigger than the AC3 map and is the densest world Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed team has ever created – thanks to the next-gen Xbox One and PS4 processing power.

Of course, Assasin’s Creed Unity will seem even larger because, as Skelaa remind us:

“Don’t forget we can enter a quarter of the buildings, so the map will seem bigger.”

Assassin’s Creed Unity is the first in the series to be only developed for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. A map of this size would never be possible on last-gen consoles, something that has enabled Batman: Arkham Knight to be a huge game too.

The Assassin’s Creed Unity release date has been set for October 28 in the UK, with pre-orders available now with a host of limited edition content to pick up.
