LG G3 Prime potentially leaked

The LG G3 Prime could have been leaked ahead of a potential launch later this month.

A number of leaks have suggested a smartphone with the codename LG F460L will be an upgraded version of the LG G3, potentially called the LG G3 Prime.

Now, a new leaked image suggests the LG G3 Prime should come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, improving upon the already powerful Snapdragon 801 processor built into the standard LG G3.

There are reports that suggest the jumped up G3 Prime will even offer IP67 water and dust resistant certification if it launches later this year, the same standards featured with the Samsung Galaxy S5.

This latest leak states the G3 Prime could also come with a Qualcomm MDM9635 modem, allowing it to support speeds of up to 225Mbps.

Other rumoured specs for the LG G3 Prime is the same QHD 1440 x 2560p display as the flagship, but 3GB of RAM instead of 2GB helping along that beefier processor.

It will have the same 13-megapixel camera as the G3 as well as the minimum 16GB of internal storage. Both will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat too.

There’s not much to substantiate these rumours yet, especially as the LG G3 is a pretty impressive phone to begin with, thanks to its stunning QHD 5.5-inch display, slim body and refreshed UI.

The LG G3 was launched on June 26, a month after its official announcement.
