The LG G3 specs have been leaked in full ahead of the phone’s May 27 launch event.
We already knew pretty much everything about the LG G3, but a set of leaked slides from an official preview event has confirmed all those rumours.
Thanks to GforGames sources, someone managed to leak a number of slides from an internal preview event presentation detailing the 2014 flagship’s various features.
As already confirmed, the slides show the LG G3 packing a 5.5-inch QHD IPS display, which is directly compared to the 1080p full HD AMOLED display of rival, the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Solidifying earlier rumours, the LG G3 is said to run on a Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM, with Android 4.4 KitKat lying behind the newly revamped UI.
The LG G3 will be powered by a 3000mAh battery and will measure up at 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9mm, which would make it around the same size as the Sony Xperia Z2. The Sony flagship is a little thinner at 8.2mm though, but the LG G3 screen is 0.3-inches larger, which just highlights how thin the bezel on LG’s flagship will be.
The rear camera will pack 13-megapixels and there is an additional 2.1-megapixel front-facing sensor.
Two slides of the leaked presentation are dedicated to the LG G3’s rear camera, which will utilise a new laser technology (that black sensor to the left of the rear sensor) to enhance low-light photography.
The text in the slide that particular highlights this laser sensor explains that it will also help with focusing: “faster auto focus and dual flash, auto focus that focuses fast and without shaking”.
The slides also reveal that the front-facing camera will let you take selfies by clenching your palm into a fist within the camera’s view.
Of course, it’s not surprising the LG G3 will pack 4G LTE and LTE Advanced connectivity as well as USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and NFC compatibility. The slides don’t mention GPS and GLONASS, but that doesn’t indicate that they haven’t been incorporated.
It looks like the minimum internal storage will be 32GB, but sadly there’s no mention of the rumoured microSD card slot.
As for other specs, the LG G3 should pack a 1W speaker to boost the audio experience future owners can expect.
The LG G3 will launch at a special event on May 27, but there’s not much left to be surprised about.
