HTC Desire 610 launched as new mid-range 4G option

The HTC Desire 610 has been launched as a new mid-range 4G smartphone at MWC 2014.

Featuring a 4.7-inch display, the HTC Desire 610 offers great features for what should be a modest price.

“Consumer choice should be about selecting the best-in-class features without having to compromise on quality,” said HTC EMEA President, Philip Blair. “The HTC Desire 610 offers an outstanding combination of performance and entertainment at a price that makes it possible for everyone to enjoy an exceptional smartphone experience.”

HTC Desire 610 Features

The HTC Desire 610 features a 4.7-inch qHD 960 x 540p display running on a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU and 1GB of RAM.

There is 8GB of internal storage available, plus you’ll be able to take advantage of microSD card support up to 128GB.

It also comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera capable of full 1080p HD video recording and a front-facing snapper with a 1.3-megapixel resolution and 720p HD video capabilities.

The Desire 610 comes with NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11bgn and DLNA connectivity as standard.

Similar to the HTC One, the Desire 610 features front-facing HTC BoomSound speakers, but lacks Beats Audio technology due to HTC’s stake sell last year.

Powered by a 2040mAh battery, the new Desire 610 features HTC software bonuses like the HTC BlinkFeed homescreen and the HTC Zoe photography software.
