The Samsung Galaxy S5 screen could boast a staggering 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, Samsung itself has hinted.
With the manufacturer today looking to the future at its annual Analyst Day, Samsung has suggested that it will introduce the world’s first Ultra High Definition 4K smartphones as early as 2015, with next year, the launch window for the Samsung Galaxy S5, set to see 2560 x 1440 WQHD panels added to its handsets.
Although the manufacturer has failed to mention the Samsung Galaxy S5 by name, speaking in its native Seoul, South Korea, Samsung spokespeople have discussed the company’s upcoming smartphone display trends.
As well as confirming its 2015 4K intentions, the Apple and HTC rival has revealed that for 2014, it will make a stopping off point a WQHD panels. As well as a strong 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 manufacturer has revealed that upcoming devices will boast display panels with a stunning 560 pixels-per-inch image density.
Already one of the hot topics on the tech scene despite being months from reality, a range of Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours have been doing the rounds in recent weeks.
Expected to run an all new, premium metal body, similar to that of the HTC One or iPhone 5S, it has been suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S5’s enhanced display will be packaged alongside advanced eye-tracking technologies.
Further Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours have seen Samsung executives reveal that the phone will likely be powered by an iPhone mimicking 64-bit processor.
Fielding questions on the subject recently, Samsung’s CEO of Mobile, Shin Jong-Kyun stated: “Yes, our next smartphones will have 64-bit processing functionality.”
