Which is your workout buddy?
We saw the Fitbit Surge, Charge and Charge HR shown off at the end of last year. Now they're finally on sale in the UK, so there's still time to take up that new year's resolution.
All three are available from Fitbit's website, as spotted by Wareable. The Charge costs £99.99, the Charge HR £119.99, while the Surge will set you back £199.99.
Fitbit touts the Surge as its first 'fitness super watch'. It has a bigger screen than the others – which are mere fitness bands – and measures your steps taken, calories burned, distance travelled, stairs climbed, how many active minutes you've done (pertinent considering today's news), and how much sleep you've had. It also boasts more advanced smartwatch skills like caller ID, a heart rate tracker, GPS, notifications and music controls.
It promises to last a week before needing a recharge. Which puts the Apple Watch – and most others – to shame.
The Charge and Charge HR have OLED displays (as opposed to the Surge's LCD), and can track your movement and sleep. They also have caller ID.
The only difference between the Charge and Charge HR is the latter has Fitbit's proprietary PurePulse heart rate tech, which monitors your heart rate using LED lights. Hypochondriacs will have a field day.
