Killzone: Shadow Fall most popular PS4 game at launch

With the PS4 now on sale, Killzone: Shadow Fall has topped the console’s first gaming sales chart, proving the most popular next-gen title.

Published by PS4 maker Sony, the console exclusive releases has topped the first PS4 sales chart with ease. As well as attracting day one PS4 owners, the Xbox One rivalling next-gen console was offered in a Killzone bundle deal, further aiding the game’s early sales.

While the futuristic first-person shooter has taken the first round of top honours, the other PS4 exclusive offering available at launch, Knack, could only manage a lowly seventh in the sales charts. Between the two games is a raft of high-profile, cross-platform titles.

With EA’s FIFA 14 the second most popular PS4 game and the highest selling third-party title, the much-loved football sim has outstripped the cross-platform FPS giants.

Getting one up on its closest rival, Battlefield 4 has outsold Call of Duty: Ghosts on the PS4, with the two games lining up third and fourth respectively in the sales charts. With Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag in fifth, yet another EA published game, Need for Speed: Rivals has ended the PS4 launch week in sixth.

Below Knack and rounding out the PS4 sales chart top ten, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and NBA 2K14 have finished the week ending November 30 in eighth and ninth spots respectively. The Warner Bros published Injustice: Gods Among Us is tenth.
