Amazon has announced its Cyber Monday deals, with the online retailer cutting the 7-inch Amazon Kindle Fire HDX price by £30.
Formerly setting wannabe owners back an already reasonable £199, the enticing Cyber Monday deal has seen the 7-inch Amazon Kindle Fire HDX price dropped to just £169. The offer is available only for today, December 2.
“The new Fire tablets are the best tablets we’ve ever built — the reviews from press and the feedback from customers has been overwhelmingly positive,” Jorrit Van der Meulen, Vice President of Amazon’s Kindle EU division stated.
He added: “We’re excited to be able to offer £30 off Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch for Cyber Monday.”
As well as proving easier on consumers’ wallets, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX price cut sees the 7-inch Android tablet line up a full £150 cheaper than the rival Apple iPad mini 2.
Powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core processor, the 7-inch Amazon Kindle Fire HDX specs sheet is further enhanced by a 1920 x 1200 pixel Full HD display, 2GB of RAM and a claimed 11 hours battery life thanks to a sizeable 4500mAh Lithium-Ion power unit.
Although running Android Jelly Bean, the Kindle Fire HDX does not resemble the mass of Google filled tablets in any way, with the Amazon UI Fire 3.0 interface giving the Android innards a dramatic refresh.
