With the game set to hit current and next-generation consoles later this year, details of the upcoming Battlefield 4 Deluxe Edition have been revealed.

Building on the standard edition of the eagerly awaited first-person shooter, the Battlefield 4 Deluxe Edition will be exclusively available through retailer GAME and see gamers benefit from a range of additional content and expansion packs.

“The Battlefield 4 Deluxe Edition is packed with additional content, including the Battlefield 4 China Rising multiplayer expansion pack, bonus in-game content, and comes with a collectable SteelBook cover,” an official statement has revealed. “The Deluxe Edition is available in limited quantities only.”

Officially announced earlier this year, Battlefield 4 will be officially released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms this November. The game will be made available for Xbox One and PS4 when the new consoles hit retailers later in the year.

Setting wannabe owners back a not inconsiderable £64.99, the Battlefield 4 Deluxe Edition will see a trio of Gold Battllepacks bring a range of exclusive weapons and boosts to the fray after launch.

“Battlepacks contain a combination of new weapon accessories, dog tags, knives, XP boosts and character customisation items. The packs are designed to add an all-new layer of multiplayer persistence with an exciting element of chance, and are awarded during gameplay,” publisher EA has confirmed.

With the bonus edition of the game coming boxed in a collectable steelbook cover, the bundled China Rising Expansion pack will see four addition maps.

Describing the additional maps EA stated: “Fight for dominance across the vast and majestic Chinese mainland in four massive maps, using all-new vehicles and high-tech military equipment.”
