LG has released a new teaser trailer for the LG G3 ahead of its official unveiling on May 27.
Before the flagship is unveiled in a fortnight, LG has practically confirmed the LG G3 will feature a metal body.
The South Korean electronics giant confirmed the LG G3 name and its 5.5-inch QHD 2560 x 1450p resolution display earlier this month and now its giving us even more details before the phone is even launched.
Although the teaser trailer doesn’t give us an extensive look at the device, we see the LG G3’s brushed metal body in flashes throughout the video.
This would be a significant upgrade to the plastic body of the LG G2 and make it look a more like rival HTC One M8.
The video also shows us a quick look at the redesigned rear volume rocker and camera casing. There’s a new dual flash and IR blaster either side of the rear camera as well.
What is also interesting is that there seems to be a new LG G3 case coming with the announcement. As you can see at the end of the video following the “Simple is the new smart” tagline, there’s a shot of the LG G3 with a circular display that lights up around the edge, which is no doubt a new case design with light notifications.
Other rumours LG G3 specs include a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
MicroSD card is also expected to make the cut, which is something else that was missing from the LG G2.
There is supposedly a 13-megapixel rear camera complemented by a 2.4-megapixel front-facing sensor for video-calling.
Of course, Android 4.4 KitKat should be behind the UI with a totally revamped UI tipped to make an appearance.
