The LG G3 has been spotted on the subway
The LG G3 leaks continue to emerge thick and fast, as the upcoming flagship phone is spotted out in the wild.
With the manufacturer having failed on many levels to keep its LG G2 follow-on secret, the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 rival has now been snapped riding the subway in LG’s native Korea.
The shots, which look suspiciously staged, show a woman sporting the gold edition of the LG G3, with the handset sat within the recently teased new Quick View case with a circular preview window.
Although LG has already confirmed the phone’s name and teased elements of the handset’s specs sheet and design, the phone is not set to be formally unveiled until May 27.
Set to be showcased at a London-based launch event, the LG G3 will land with a 5.5-inch edge-to-edge display.
As well as being unencumbered by a sizeable bezel, this display is set to feature a stunning QHD, 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution.
Further LG G3 specs are tipped to see a brushed metal body wrapped around 2GB of RAM and Google’s latest Android 4.4. KitKat OS.
With the same 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor as the S5 expected to feature, the phone has been rumoured to run a 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera and a secondary, 2.4-megapixel snapper up front.
With a slimline form factor having been shown off in previously leaked shots, the G3 will host a revised rear-mounted button housing, with the phone’s power and volume controls sitting under its inbuilt camera.
