Samsung has announced it will be launching its own standalone retail stores in partnership with Carphone Warehouse.
Over 60 Samsung retail stores are going to be popping up all over Europe in the near future after the South Korean manufacturer signed a preferred partner agreement with Carphone Warehouse Group PLC.
There are already three Samsung retail stores in Spain, which were opened in 2013 and have been very successful.
The new Samsung stores will open in the next three months across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Sweden and the Netherlands.
Similar to the Apple stores dotted around the world, the Samsung stores will allow you to have a feel and a play with Samsung mobiles, tablets, laptops and other gadgets like the Samsung Galaxy Gear.
“We are delighted to have been chosen as Samsung’s preferred European partner for their store roll-out,” said Andrew Harrison, CEO of Carphone Warehouse.
“Our Connected World Services business will combine Carphone Warehouse’s retailing expertise and systems with one of the world’s biggest brands and will help us make even more lives better through connected technology.”
The stores will make use of Carphone Warehouse’s assisted sales tools on Samsung branded tablets, and could have potential growth options in the future.
