Another new version of Windows 8.1, which is also known as 'Blue,' has leaked onto the internet with a couple of interesting new touches.
Windows Blue build 9374, as it's called, appeared online through less than official sources over the weekend.
The new build appears to confirm the name of the next major Windows update - Windows 8.1 Pro. Which isn't exactly startling news, but there you go.
Another, slightly more interesting, new feature is Kiosk mode. This allows you to lock specific apps and features to particular Windows accounts. It also allows you to set an app to boot automatically upon start-up.
This would have obvious benefits to parents looking to let their children play on their Windows 8 device without having to worry about bringing up an inappropriate website or deleting their work.
Windows 8.1 9369
Windows 8.1 build 9374 wasn't the first new build to leak in the past week. Build 9369 also appeared, showing off some interesting new SkyDrive compatibility.
It seems the new version of Windows will allow you to set your SkyDrive cloud storage account as the default location for saving files rather than on the device's internal storage.
Windows 'Blue,' or Windows 8.1 as it will be officially know, should be officially revealed at a public showing in June. Expect to see it available to download by the end of the year as, it's expected, Microsoft steps into a new annual update pattern.
