Facebook has confirmed that Facebook Home, its new app launcher and social hub layer for Android phones, will be available to download from the UK Google Play store later today.
Facebook Home has received mixed reviews thus far - some even suggested the HTC First, the first phone to come with it pre-installed, was better without Facebook Home. Even so, it's a key product for Facebook and it's already said to be in talks with Apple to bring the experience to the iPhone.

This echoes sentiments from TrustedReviews columnist, Stuart Houghton, who suggested Facebook Home should open up iOS 7:
"Facebook Home is a clever move by Facebook that piggybacks on the success of Google's Android OS. However, it's not Google that should be worried by Home - it's Apple."

Can I get Facebook Home on my phone?
There is some bad news ahead, however, as Facebook Home is only supported on a select number of smartphones. They are the:
- HTC One
- HTC One X
- HTC One X
- Samsung Galaxy S3
- Samsung Galaxy S4 (when available)
- Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Facebook is working on supporting more phones, but if you don't own any of the above you're bang out of luck. The good news? We'll bring you our full Facebook Home review just as soon as we can.
For the iPhone owners out there, be sure to download the updated Facebook app for iPhone and iPad that includes the Chat Heads feature from Facebook Home that came out today.
