Mass Effect 4 details coming at Comic-Con

Bioware has confirmed fresh Mass Effect 4 details will be revealed a special panel at the San Diego Comic-Con later this month.

We’ve not heard much in the way of official details on the next Mass Effect (dubbed Mass Effect 4 until we have an official title), apart from a brief showing at E3 2014.

But now it seems there’s a dedicated Mass Effect panel at Comic-Con on July 26 to talk about the expansion of the original Mass Effect trilogy.

“Mass Effect developers from the Edmonton and Montreal studios discuss what it’s like to expand on a well-established and beloved video game franchise”, reads the panel's details.

“Panelist Carl Boulay (lead animator), Fabrice Condominas (producer), Mike Gamble (producer), Noel Lukasewich (senior artist) and Jessica Merizan (community manager), share their experiences in shaping the next Mass Effect game with new possibilities while staying true to the critically acclaimed series.”

The game has been in development for some time now, with the latest from Bioware suggesting it is already playable and is somewhere in the middle of its development schedule as of May 2014.

The latest information we received from Bioware at E3 2014 was that the game will offer us a new cast and locations.

“We think fans of the series are going to be surprised with just how far we are going,” explained Bioware at E3 2014 during the EA presentation.

They added that the new Mass Effect will feature “new places, new characters and new people to fall in love with.”

“We want to build a world that is as big and as imaginative as anything we have done so far. At Bio ware we are building worlds and journeys for the next generation.”
