HTC One M8 mini coming to UK in May

HTC could be set to follow up its HTC One M8 in super-quick time, with a recent report claiming that the HTC One M8 mini will hit UK shops next month.

The HTC One M8 only launched a week ago, to wide-spread rave reviews. The company looks set to keep up it momentum by launching a miniature version of its new flagship in short order.

According to 3G.co.uk, HTC will be releasing the HTC One M8 mini in this country some time in May. That’s according to an anonymous source inside a UK retailer.

The source also claims that the HTC One M8 mini will keep the premium unibody aluminium design of its big brother. The screen, of course, will be smaller - though at a predicted 4.5-inches it’s hard to think of it as 'mini,' exactly.

What’s not clear at this point is whether the HTC One M8 mini screen’s resolution will be diminished to a 720p example, or whether it will retain the One M8’s crisp 1080p standard.

The report does claim that the HTC One M8 mini will lose the M8’s Duo camera set-up, reverting to just a single lens for its snaps.

We knew that the HTC One M8 mini was in the works, based on a couple of recent leaks and reports, but it’s a surprise to hear that it could be with us so soon.

This would represent a rapid turn-around in between products for HTC. Last year’s HTC One was followed by the HTC One mini, but there was a five month gap in between their respective launches.
