Online multiplayer gaming on the Xbox One is currently unavailable and users won’t be able to redeem DLC codes or other Live vouchers.

According to the Xbox Live status page for the UK, the Xbox One online multiplayer is currently unavailable and you won’t be able to post your game performance or view other players’ stuff either.

Xbox One gamers trying to use prepaid cards, DLC codes or activate Xbox Live subscriptions will also be experiencing problems.

Apparently not all users are being affected in the same way by the Xbox Live problems, but one NeoGAF poster claims to have been experiencing problems for well over 18 hours at the time of writing.

It’s not clear what is wrong with Xbox Live for Xbox One at this stage, but it’s not a great start for the next-gen console that was only released last Friday, November 22.

It may well be due to the immense traffic the service is experiencing.

The Xbox One TV integration in the UK is also suffering from a technical fault in the UK which is causing the picture to judder.

This is seemingly due to a difference in refresh rates as TV broadcasts in Europe use 50hz whilst the Xbox One runs at 60hz like US TV broadcasts.

The Xbox One has been pretty successful so far, with Microsoft announcing day one Xbox One sales topped one million units in 24 hours.

We’ll update you if anything changes on the Xbox One Xbox Live service status.
