Nokia Lumia 630 press render leaks

An official-looking image of the forthcoming Nokia Lumia 630 appears to show a stripped-back Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone.

Following on from the Nokia Lumia 620 and the Nokia Lumia 625, the Nokia Lumia 630 is expected to be a budget entry to the series. It’s of particular interest, however, because it’s also likely to be one of the first phones to ship with Windows Phone 8.1.

Now, a fresh image has leaked showing the Nokia Lumia 630’s front, back, and even a little bit of its side.Yep, it’s one of those jaunty-angle press shots that manufacturers are so keen on.

The image again comes from that master of smartphone scoops, @evleaks, and it shows the Lumia 630 in five eye-scorching colours.

Some of the notable feature here include a lack of fixed hardware controls on the front of the device. Rather, the new version of Windows Phone will allow for the inclusion of on-screen prompts for the usual back, Windows, and search commands.

The leaked shot also shows that the Nokia Lumia 630 lacks a camera flash and, in a first for a Windows Phone, a physical camera shutter button.

All of these details point to a phone that’s set to come in at the low end of 'entry-level', both in terms of specs and price.

There are no specific details to accompany this image, but we’re expecting the Nokia Lumia 630 to make an official appearance some time after Microsoft’s announcement of Windows Phone 8.1, which should be some time in early April.
