HTC One 2 next to the HTC One
The new HTC One 2, or All New HTC One successor, has been shown off in a 12-minute long video, revealing the final design.
One YouTube user has posted a lengthy video of a near final version of the All New HTC One destined for American network AT&T.
It’s not quite the final version of the device as the device still lists the software and Android version as “Protected”, so we expect this particular edition is still HTC Sense 5.5, but is definitely running Android 4.4.2 KitKat due to the on-screen navigational buttons.
The video has since been removed by the poster, especially after HTC spotted his IMEI number clearly in the video and have said there will be some serious issues for him on the way. However, it has been reposted by other YouTube users and we’ve embedded it below.
With this video you get a good overview of the All New HTC One, and is even lined up alongside the original HTC One for comparisons.
There’s the dual-sensor rear UltraPixel camera, on-screen navigational buttons rather than the soft touch alternatives located under the screen and a slightly larger 5-inch full 1080p HD display.
From the looks of the video the HTC One 2 will also come with a microSD card slot, something that wasn’t offered on the HTC One.
Like with its predecessor, the All New HTC One has a headphone jack on the bottom of the phone, but lacks the in-built Beats Audio sound technology.
The video also suggest HTC will introduce some major changes with the M8’s camera interface to take advantage of the dual-sensor rear camera.
Specs aren’t mentioned in the video, but the All New HTC One is tipped to run on a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB of RAM.
It will be compatible with multiple band 4G LTE and feature Bluetooth 4.0 LE, dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi and NFC compatibility.
The All New HTC One is being launched at a special London event on March 25.
