Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 range specs leaked

Specifications for the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 range of Android tablets have leaked onto the web.

Following previous Tab generations, Samsung will released three sizes of Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 devices: 7-inch, 8-inch, and 10.1-inch.

It seems as if Samsung will be continuing with its somewhat underwhelming mid-range specs, according to a new report over at PhoneArena.

The entry-level Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will apparently feature a 7-inch 1280 x 800 display, which is actually a slight bump up from the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. Speaking of minor upgrades, the Tab 4 7.0 will run on a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU (up from a dual-core chip) backed by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

As you might expect, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 will boast virtually identical specs. Aside from the screen size, only the amount of internal storage differs (16GB rather than 8GB), as well as a larger (6800mAh) battery. Both the 7.0 and the 8.0 will feature 3-megapixel rear cameras and 1.3-megapixel fronts.

Which leaves the largest tablet of the trio, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. This will also feature a 1280 x 800 display, despite its extra inches. It seems as if the 1.2GHz quad-core processor will be the same too, although it will be backed by 1.5GB of RAM.

Again, 16GB of storage is included, whilst all three devices feature microSD slots for expanded storage. One notable difference is the Tab 4 10.1’s duo of cameras, with a much larger 8-megapixel rear and a 3-megapixel front. The battery will also, predictably, be larger at 6800mAh.

All three Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 tablets will apparently come with Android 4.4 KitKat, and we can expect to see them announced at MWC 2014 at the end of the month.
