LG G3 Stylus has leaked through official channels

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could face some still competition on the phablet front later this year, as LG officially teases the upcoming LG G3 Stylus.

Although little is currently known about the stylus-packing smartphone, the LG G3 Stylus has popped up at the end of an official promotional video for the recently unveiled LG G3 Beat.

Shown alongside the flagship LG G3, it appears that the Stylus could be marginally larger than its 5.5-inch sibling, with, as its name suggests, a stylus thrown into the mix to help it better compete with the likes of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

According to recent rumours, the LG G3 Stylus will play host to a 5.9-inch display, 0.2-inches larger than the 5.7-inch offering expected to feature on the Note 4.

Although launch timings and further specs are currently unclear, it has been suggested that the handset could touch down powered by a Snapdragon 805 processor this autumn.

With the Galaxy Note 4 widely expected to be unveiled on September 3 ahead of an official release later the same month, the G3 Stylus could also be heading for an IFA 2014 announcement.

Aside from the leading Korean manufacturers, the phablet market looks set to gain another new entrant this year, with Apple widely rumoured to be working on a 5.5-inch iPhone 6 of its own.

The LG G3 Stylus can be spotted at the end of the painfully cheesy promotional video below.
