Samsung Galaxy Note 4 screen leaks as 5.7-inch QHD offering

With Samsung widely expected to update its flagship phablet offering later this year, new reports have suggested the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will land with a 5.7-inch QHD display in tow.

With the mooted handset having been repeatedly tipped to benefit from a new, visually impressive 2560 x 1440p QHD display, latest leaks have seen a development model of the upcoming phone surface with the LG G3 mimicking screen on board.

Doing the rounds under its official product code – the Samsung SM-N910A – the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 4 leaks have suggested that although it will not feature a larger display that its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, it will be considerably sharper.

According to the phone’s User Agent Profile, which has been teased through the Korean manufacturer’s own website, the Note 4 will jump from a now customary 1080p Full HD display to a 2560 x 1440p QHD offering.

Although the LG G3 was unveiled last month with its own QHD panel in tow, the Note 4’s screen is set to be 0.2-inches larger than that of its rear-key hosting rival.

Suggesting that a Note 4 release is growing nearer, a ‘sample’ of the phone has popped up on a shipping manifest to the company’s Indian HQ.

According to the leaked documentation, the phone, which was sent last week, will be used “for testing and evaluation and not for retail sale.”

Although the latest leaks have offered no details on the phone’s arrival, recent reports have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date will coincide with this September’s IFA 2014 convention.

Further Samsung Galaxy Note 4 rumours have suggested that two iterations of the handset will be released. Samsung itself has even suggested that a standard, QHD, rendition of the phone will be joined by a secondary option with a curved OLED panel. This curved screen version is only expected to be available in certain markets.

As well as a 5.7-inch QHD display, the stylus-hosting handset has been tipped to boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 16-megapixel rear-mounted camera.
