Is this a case for the iPhone 6?

The iPhone 6 looks set to benefit from a design refresh, with a claimed iPhone 6 case suggesting the phone’s power button will be relocated.

With the iPhone 6 rumour mill churning out a mass of teases ahead of an expected Q3 release, reports of the handset’s power button moving from the phone’s upper edge to the right of the device have continued to circulate in recent weeks.

Now, a claimed iPhone 6 case, which has surfaced courtesy of serial tipster Nowhereelse.fr, has added further backing to rumours of a relocated power/sleep button.

According to the teased image, the iPhone 6 power button will slide down to the phone’s right hand side, a move which will reportedly make single handed use easier on the iPhone 6’s larger, reportedly 4.7-inch form factor.

The image has suggested that the volume rocker, screen lock button and camera will all remain in their current locations.

Given that the iPhone 6 is still believed to be months away from launch, we must stress that this leaked case and rumoured button relocation been taken with a sizeable pinch of salt.

With the iPhone 6 set to go head-to-head with the market leading Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 later this year, further rumours have hinted that the phone will feature a larger, quantum dot display, new processor and be powered by the upcoming iOS 8 operating system.

Based on numerous leaks, iOS 8 looks set to bestow the iPhone 6 with many of its defining features, with a new Healthbook application set to allow users to catalogue their full, detailed health and wellbeing data, drawing in information from a range of further apps and third-party peripherals.
