Nokia Lumia 2020 tipped to be 8.3-inch Windows tablet

Following the recent Nokia Lumia 2520 release, the Finnish phone manufacturer is rumoured to be working on a second tablet offering, as the 8.3-inch Nokia Lumia 2020 is teased.

Far from the first time an 8-inch Nokia tablet has been teased, the latest reports have surfaced following the emergence of a new product name, the Nokia RX-115, being spotted on internal product documents.

Although little is currently know about the Nokia branded iPad mini and Google Nexus 7 rival, it has been suggested that the upcoming Nokia tablet will run an 8.3-inch IPS display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel Full HD resolution.

Like the 10.1-inch Nokia Lumia 2520 before it, the RX-115, widely expected to hit retailers under the moniker of the Nokia Lumia 2020, will reportedly be powered by Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 RT operating system.

While a Nokia Lumia 2020 release date is still unknown, it is expected that the LG G Pad competitor will make its first formal appearance alongside a selection of new Lumia handsets during the company’s MWC 2014 conference in February.

Originally unveiled back at Nokia World in October, the Nokia Lumia 2520 was formally launched in the UK last week. Available in four colours, red, black, white and blue, the Nokia Lumia 2520 is currently exclusively through retailer John Lewis.
