Google Nexus 5 specs leaked in full by network

A full list of Google Nexus 5 specs has hit the web, with the upcoming handset’s feature list teased by a Canadian network.

With the Google Nexus 5 widely expected to be officially unveiled later this week, Canadian carrier Wind Mobile is now letting eager consumers register their interest in the as yet unconfirmed phone, with a range of Google Nexus 5 specs also listed.

Like the Google Nexus 4 before it, the new Nexus 5 will reportedly by manufactured in partnership with LG, but that’s where the similarities end. According to the latest leaked Google Nexus 5 specs, the new handset will reportedly run a high-end array of innards to rival anything else on the smartphone scene.

Although the Nexus 5’s screen has been tipped to be anything from 4.7-inches to 5.3-inches in size, the latest reports have suggested a 4.95-inch display is set for inclusion. Offering impressive visuals, this near 5-inch panel is said to run a 1920 x 1080 pixel Full HD resolution and a detailed 445 pixels-per-inch image density.

Powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM, the Google Nexus 5 will become the first device to come running the recently announced Android 4.4 KitKat mobile operating system.

With both 16GB and 32GB iterations of the phone mooted as well as black and white colour schemes, the Google Nexus 5 specs sheet will reportedly be rounded off by the standard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity options, as well as NFC and 4G features.

Measuring in at 8.59mm thick and 130g in weight, while the 8-megapixel Google Nexus 5 camera listed might appear a step back on the 13-megapixel likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4, it looks set to be brimmed with features of its own, including optical image stabilisation. A 1.3-megpixel secondary snapper has been teased for the front of the Nexus 5.

While a Google Nexus 5 release date had previously been tipped for either October 30 or 31, it is now believed the Google Nexus 5 will enter the realms of reality this Friday, November 1. Although set to be one of the biggest phone releases of the year, a Friday arrival would see the Nexus 5 share the limelight with the hotly anticipated iPad Air release date.
