Samsung Galaxy NX Camera priced, will set you back £1,299

The Samsung Galaxy NX Camera UK price has been officially unveiled ahead of the snapper’s arrival and it’s not cheap. The Android power, interchangeable lens camera will set you back a hefty £1,299.

A follow-on of sorts to last year’s Samsung Galaxy Camera, the Samsung Galaxy NX builds on the manufacturer’s NX branded camera line, bringing a raft of techy upgrades to the table from Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and a 4.8-inch touchscreen display to 4G LTE connectivity options.

With the Samsung Galaxy NX price now set just shy of the £1,300 marker, this considerable outlay will see those eager to snap up the Android powered DSLR pair their new snapper with an 18-55mm OIS kit lens.

In unveiling the Samsung Galaxy NX Camera last month, Simon Stanford, Vice President of IT & Mobile Division, Samsung UK & Ireland stated: “The aim of this device is to combine the high image quality associated with the NX camera with the ease of use and speed of 4G capability with Android. Perfect for taking incredible images and sharing them quickly.”

Set to go on sale in the coming days, the Samsung Galaxy NX Camera sees the benefits of interchangeable lens photography further bolstered by a 20.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS image sensor. What’s more, image playback and menu navigations are a joy too thanks to the sizeable 4.8-inch TFT touchscreen display.

Not just an impressive stills snapper, the Samsung Galaxy NX sees1080p Full HD video capture capabilities thrown into the mix at 30 frames-per-second. The Galaxy NX features a 1.6GHz quad-core processor.

As much a web-based entertainment device as a standalone camera, the Samsung Galaxy NX builds on its 4G connection capabilities with dual-band Wi-Fi compatibility. Skinned with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI it packs a 4360mAh Lithium-Ion battery alongside 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage expandable via microSD up to 64GB and inbuilt flash with hotshoe expansion. An electronic viewfinder and HDMI connections are also present.
