iON Air Pro 2 launched

iON Worldwide has just launched the second-generation of its wearable HD video camera, the iON Air Pro 2.

Offering a compact, lightweight and fully waterproof design, the iON Air Pro 2 offers 1080p video resolutions and a 180-degree 14-megapixel lens.

“The POV category is crowded, and we aim to set ourselves apart by offering a wide range of options that meets the diverse needs of our customers,” said Giovanni Tomaselli, the CEO of iON Worldwide. “iON Air Pro 2 provides a higher level performance, designed to satisfy those who seek top-quality video and audio – all within a cohesive ecosystem that provides a superior user experience.”

iON Air Pro 2 Features

The iON Air Pro 2 features a 14-megapixel image sensor capable of capturing 60fps of HDI video. The POV camera vibrates when recording starts or stops to alert its user.

Offering an increased 180-degree wide angle capture, the iON Air Pro 2 is light, compact and waterproof to 30 feet or 9 metres.

Unfortunately it looks like the standard battery will still only provide 2.5hours of shooting on a single charge.

To aid audio recording, the iON Air Pro 2 has a microphone-in jack for attaching audio equipment, complementing its integrated microphone.

The addition of Wi-Fi to the pricier model allows compatibility with the iON app to control the iON Air Pro 2. Users can stop and start recording, change shooting modes, take still images, check battery life and other features using the app for Android and iOS devices
